Pilates Studio Feature | Restore Pilates, Midleton, Ireland
Apr 14, 2026
We are so excited that our second Neu Pilates studio feature is Restore Pilates in Midleton, Ireland!
We have had the pleasure of visiting owner, Stephani in Ireland not once but twice on our family adventures, and it has been one of the highlights of our NEU Pilates experience so far. Steph is such genuine person, who embodies exactly the type of person and personality we envision as a NEU Pilates Instructor. We feel so blessed to have met and connected with her! Our trip to Ireland changed us, maybe it was kissing the Blarney stone at the Blarney castle, or visiting Drombeg Stone circle, or watching a Cork City FC Semi Final Match, or the amazing meal we had at the Black Pig Wine Bar in Kinsale. Or, maybe it was the visit to Restore Pilates. Whatever it was we are happy it happened!

We asked Steph to tell us about her philosophy and the mission driving Restore Pilates. Here is what she had to say!
Restore Pilates, Midleton, is grounded in something very personal.
Pilates has been a tool I’ve used to build — and rebuild — my own body, time and time again. Through different stages, challenges, and changes, it’s been something I’ve come back to, not for perfection, but for support.
That experience shapes everything we do here.
We’re currently a small team of three instructors, all trained in the NEU Pilates method, and we’re really proud of the consistency that brings to how we teach and support our clients.
Our studio has six reformers, and we run 19 classes each week, including prenatal and postnatal sessions — with space for babies to come along, which is something that’s really important to us.
Our classes are designed to meet you where you are, and then build from there. We don’t rush the process, and we don’t believe in one-size-fits-all movement. Every exercise can be adjusted, layered, and explored so it actually works for the person in front of us.
We offer a range of class styles, which we genuinely love — it allows us to be creative, and keeps the experience fresh and engaging for our clients.

From our Reformer Circuit and Jump Board classes, to more focused sessions like Glutes, Hips & Core (designed to support back strength), our offering is also inspired by the NEU movement approach — with classes such as Align & Connect, Strength & Tone, and Heal & Restore woven into our timetable.
Everything is built with progression and purpose in mind.
We keep our class sizes small so we can really pay attention — because being seen, guided, and understood is what leads to real progress.
For us, Pilates isn’t about perfection.
It’s about helping people feel stronger, more supported in their bodies, and more confident in how they move.
A lesson I’d share with anyone starting out is something I learned from Lara Yanik — not to take yourself too seriously.
There’s so much value in bringing a sense of fun into what you do. That kind of energy is infectious, and it shapes the entire experience for the people in front of you.
When clients walk into a space that feels warm, relaxed, and enjoyable, it changes how they connect to their movement.
And ultimately, that’s what keeps people coming back.

Consistency isn’t built through pressure — it’s built through enjoyment. When people enjoy something, they’re far more likely to keep showing up, and that’s where real progress begins.
Looking ahead, we’d love to continue growing in a way that still protects the feel of the studio.
Our next step is to add two more reformers to complete the space, while still keeping the small, supportive environment that’s so important to us.
We’d also love to work more closely with Lara and Jen, and hopefully bring in-person workshops to Ireland to share their method and approach more widely.
It’s something we feel a real affinity with, and truly believe in — and we’d love to make that more accessible within our own community.
